Competition

In late June of 2024, there were some friends and business advisors who got together and picked our name Arizona Brew Hopping. We did a substantial amount of research on business names and tested our market, searching for weeks to make sure it was a unique name for the industry. Once we determined it was a unique name, we purchased our website domains in July and submitted for the LLC, our tax numbers, DOT numbers and all licensure needed. In August, we got our logos built out and began using them in print, online, on merchandise, tents, banners, and on our vans. We kind of settled on AZ Brew Hopping during logo and branding conversations, it flowed better and it looked cleaner. We also had our print material at international resorts since October 2024 and we’ve begun to have international tourists visiting our brewery tour from those resorts who have begun to recognize our branding.

Once we had signed our partnerships and officially opened for sales, we went through our trademark lawyer and submitted a trademark with the Trademark and Patent Office for AZ Brew Hopping We submitted this in October of 2024. This last week, we received feedback that we were potentially in competition with a company that had been operating custom brewery tours since 2007 out of San Diego. The feedback we received was that customers may get confused over a naming convention for this company.

In good faith, the owners and founders of AZ Brew Hopping made a permanent business decision to ensure that customers would not get confused and ensure that we protected our industry as best as possible. We want to see American Breweries and local tourism succeed! AZ Brew Hopping immediately stopped showing all Geo-location Google Ads for the entire state of California. We will no longer advertise to California which is currently 5% of our customer base by removing advertising to them completely. AZ Brew Hopping does not currently pay for social media ads, but will include this policy with those ads if they are used in the future.

We hope to see our San Diego based competition do well in their future endeavors! We love to see our local breweries and their partners win!
